Research and development of software products, especially the advancement of what generally is referred to as socio-technical systems and sometimes simply referred to as computerization. I have been developing software for 15 years. I know lots of stuff and the more I know, the less I think I know... there is really too much to know. I glad the investment banks are working on solving that problem.. Right now, I work during the day, and do research at the University of Missouri-Columbia's school of information science and learning technologies in the evening....
