> Fred's Tech News: The Facebook vs. Breast Feeders War Continues
Jan 03 6p.m. 2009

The groundswell of pissed off breast feeding women is starting to take full form as we head into day seven of the "Facebook vs. Ladies who want to show off their awesome breast feeding skillz" battle persists. With over 11,000 Facebooks members changing their profile pictures to photos of women breast feeding and virtual "nurse-ins," this is certainly going to be an all out war I don't see Facebook winning. Dozens of pro-teat supporters stormed Facebook's Palo Alto headquarters last Saturday in protest.

Blogging platform JournalSpace (which I'd never heard of to date) has ceased to be, following a wipe-out of the main database for which there was no back-up in place. According to the JournalSpace blog, the database was overwritten as a result of a malicious act from a disgruntled ex-employee.

Facebook, the blue line, is on pace to pass it soon with 200 million unique visitors (up 116 percent). (Note, though, that this is more than the 140 million active users Facebook itself ...
Visiting — or even just viewing photos of family members — prompts brain activity that affects how you feel about them, your friends, and even yourself, a new study suggests.

In June, I received a Dell Inspiron 1525 notebook computer as a gift. On the morning of November 9, I noticed that the computer was displaying animated pixels on the screen and I made a call to Dell tech support. Of course, the wait time for help was excessive, [...]
Ram Bahadur Bomjam (Palden Dorje), 18, known as ‘Buddha Boy’ made news all around the world when he meditated motionless for months without water, food or sleep under a tree in a remote village of Nepal. Local and international scientists unsuccessfully tried to explain his unique meditation technique.
For the second time he made international headlines [...]
